Assisted Stretching FAQ

Straight answers about assisted stretching with me in Denver. Don't see your question? Reach out and I'll get back to you personally.

Getting Started

Your first session starts with a conversation about your body and goals. Then I'll take you through a short movement assessment, followed by a full-body stretch. Come as you are, and tell me about any injuries, chronic pain, or past surgeries so I can adjust the session for you.

Wear stretchy, comfortable clothing, like shorts, leggings, or joggers with a tee or athletic top. Pack a clean pair of socks to change into. Coming straight from a workout is totally fine.

The main thing is to stay well hydrated, the night before and the day of your session. You don't need to stretch or warm up first, and you don't need to bring anything. I provide all the equipment.

You may feel some tension as we work, but sessions stay within your comfort level. Tell me where your limits are and I'll adjust. The goal is progress, not pain.

Most likely, yes. Let me know about any injuries, chronic pain, or past surgeries before your session so I can adjust what we do. For specific medical concerns, check with your doctor first.

Techniques and Frequency

Your session can include PNF stretching, joint mobilization, active release, reciprocal inhibition, and cupping when it's a good fit. I choose what to use based on what your body needs that day.

For general flexibility and tension relief, once a week is a great place to start. If you're recovering from an injury or working toward a performance goal, more frequent sessions may help. We can talk about what makes sense for you at your first session.

Sessions and Logistics

Sessions are at Colorado Weightlifting Club, 1361 S Broadway, Suite 102, Denver, CO 80210. I also see clients at Kula Sports Performance in Greenwood Village.

Free parking is available on the north side of the building and in the alley behind the volleyball courts. I'll meet you in the front lobby.

I need 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with at least 24 hours' notice qualify for a refund. Later cancellations and no-shows are not refundable.

I don't bill insurance directly, but I'm happy to give you a detailed receipt that you can submit for HSA or FSA reimbursement where it's eligible.

You can book online, or reach me by phone or text at (720) 900-5176 or by email at emily@switchpointfitness.com.
